Adigium Symptom Checker

Telehealth

Project Details

Adigium is a full service IT company and they wanted to create a brand new symptom checker website connected to a doctor appointment system.

The client wanted a site where you can input your symptoms and have AI "diagnose" or suggest what you might have.
I had just created a remote patient monitoring application, and the key difference for this project was that this site is intended for broader, more casual users.

Diagnosis involves multiple elements; age, symptoms, location of symptoms, medication history, genetics, etc...
In order to keep the user interface look simple, the underlying information architecture had to be well thought out.

Symptom Input

I tried to avoid text fields where you have to type as minimal as possible.
Using the image of human body to input location of symptoms make the process intuitive.
To make this long process feel manageable, I added a progress bar on the left and information bar on the right displaying your input so far.

Symptom Details

Smart question trees and check boxes make input effortless.

Diagnosis

Once you finish your questionnaire, you will see your potential diagnosis, sorted from high to low accuracy. You can view the details of each disease.

From Diagnosis to Solution

Call to action buttons to find and make an appointment with a doctor, or get AI-generated treatment plans.

Book Doctors

Based on your input, the site will match doctors to you.
Make virtual or in-person appointments.
